About Shiran Carolyn Miller, ACE

Born in NY and raised in Israel, Shiran learned Avid from her mandatory military service as an editor for safety videos in the Air Force Filming Unit.

In 2009 she returned to the US and is now based in Los Angeles. She’s been a union member for 11 years.

She has a 2022 ACE Eddie Nomination for Best Film Editing For A Motion Picture (Non Theatrical) for the editing of the film Lupe.

In August 2023, Shiran won the $40,000 Grand Prize for the Union Plus - Unions Power America Contest, because of her work with the Editors Guild, and donated it to seed the Editors Guild Hardship Fund, run by the Entertainment Community Fund.

Her editing projects include the films F.L.Y, Lupe, Student Body, When We Kill The Creators, Picture Perfect Lies

and the TV shows 9-1-1 seasons 6 and 7, Chucky season 1, Z-Nation season 5.

Her assistant editing credits include Avatar the Last Airbender seasons 2 and 3 (VFX dept), Love, Victor season 1, Tell Me Your Secrets season 1, The OA season 1, Channel Zero season 3, Revolt, Outcast season 1, The Circle, and more.

Shiran is married to fellow editor and MPEG member, Cody Miller.

Aside from post production, Shiran enjoys salsa dancing, traveling, discussing Eurovision, and sketching on occasion.
